John Alexander Music provides piano tuition for all ages and abilities with a particular focus on 'just playing' the instrument, so students can start making their own music right away.

Lessons are currently available online only during the COVID-19 pandemic, but will also be available at my studio in Cockernhoe, Hertfordshire soon.

About Me

I've been playing the piano since I was 7 years old and music has remained an important aspect of my life ever since.  Alongside teaching piano, I'm also Director of Music at St. Thomas' Parish Church Stopsley where I've led the choir and played the organ since 2006.  I have also previously been Musical Director for the Bushmead Singers and Luton Male Voice Choir.  I'm proud to say that I enjoy all genres of music, but particularly enjoy the works of the composers such as Debussy and Schumann, as well as contemporary composers like Einaudi.  I also love jazz music, and have a passion for improvisational music.

It's an extraordinary privilege to be able to share my love for music with others and I'd be delighted to be a part of your musical journey.
